PCCC Women’s Basketball Captures GSAC Championship, Finishes as Region 19 Runner-Up
Paterson, NJ (June 2026) – The Passaic County Community College (PCCC) women's basketball team delivered an outstanding 2025–26 campaign, capturing the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Championship and earning a Region 19 runner-up finish, solidifying one of the most successful seasons in program history.
The Panthers compiled an impressive 19–4 overall record during the regular season, including an 11–4 mark in GSAC play, showcasing consistent excellence on both ends of the floor. PCCC's strong performance throughout the year earned the team a No. 1 ranking in Region 19 and a place among the top 15 teams nationally.
PCCC's dominance in conference play culminated in a GSAC title, highlighting the team's resilience, depth, and commitment to competing at a high level. The Panthers carried that momentum into postseason play, advancing to the Region 19 championship game and finishing as regional runner-up.
Throughout the season, the team demonstrated balanced scoring, disciplined defense, and a strong team-first mentality. The Panthers consistently rose to the occasion in key conference matchups and proved themselves as one of the premier programs in the region.
"This group set the standard for what Panther basketball represents—hard work, toughness, and unity," said Head Coach Jermaine Emanuel. "Winning the GSAC Championship and finishing as Region 19 runner-up while earning national recognition is a testament to the dedication of our student-athletes."
The 2025–26 season will be remembered not only for its championship success, but also for placing Passaic County Community College firmly among the top junior college women's basketball programs in the country.
