Bio
With a lifelong passion for soccer and hailing from the seaside city of Callao, Peru, Alberto Villanueva has been a dedicated and consistent contributor to the Athletics Department for over six years. Now a resident of Paterson, New Jersey, Villanueva has become a staple within the department, known for his reliability, adaptability, and strong work ethic.
During his time with the program, Alberto has been part of two Region 19 National Tournament runs, contributing behind the scenes to the department’s competitive success. His commitment to service is further reflected in his ability to take on multiple roles across Athletics, including positions in both Athletics Support Staff and Janitorial Services, ensuring that facilities and operations maintain a high standard.
A recipient of the Special Recognition Award, Alberto is recognized for his dedication, consistency, and willingness to support all aspects of the Athletics Department. His work has made a meaningful impact on student-athletes, staff, and the broader campus community.
