Bio

Linda Hicks brings more than two decades of coaching experience, leadership, and program development to the volleyball court, earning recognition as one of the most respected figures in New Jersey volleyball.

A proven program builder and mentor, Hicks has dedicated her career to developing student-athletes both on and off the court. She is widely known for cultivating disciplined, high-IQ teams and guiding athletes to success at the collegiate level and beyond, including multiple Division I placements, conference honors, and All-American recognition.

Hicks began her coaching career at Eastside High School, where she led both the boys and girls volleyball programs and played a pivotal role in establishing boys volleyball in the City of Paterson. Her leadership helped expand opportunities for the sport throughout the region.

At the collegiate level, Hicks served as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Rutgers University–Newark before continuing her volleyball career at Passaic County Community College. There, she coached both the men’s and women’s programs and made history as the school’s first men’s volleyball coach, helping build the foundation and culture of the program.

In addition to her coaching roles, Hicks has directed camps, clinics, and development programs focused on skill training, leadership, and volleyball IQ. She is widely respected for her ability to connect with athletes, maximize potential, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.

Hicks’ impact extends beyond competition, as she continues to shape the lives of student-athletes through mentorship, leadership, and a commitment to education-based athletics.
